Quick Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients
  

  • 4 apples – peeled and cubed
  • Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vegan or regular butter

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large, deep sauté pan over medium heat
  • Melt butter in the pan
  • Add apples and cinnamon and stir to coat
  • Add ¼ cup of water
  • Cover and simmer for 5-15 minutes until apples are cooked to your desired consistency.

Notes

OTHER YUMMY IDEAS FOR CINNAMON APPLES:
Use apples for oatmeal or pancakes, or top with Greek yogurt (they are also fantastic with a little vanilla ice cream).
For a lower carbohydrate and more diabetic friendly version, eat only 1/2 of an apple
